SINGAPORE EMCEE KEVIN LESTER, AKA ‘THE LIONCITYBOY’ TO RELEASE DEBUT EP EVERYTHING YOU LOVE, YOU HATE ON APRIL 2

FIRST SINGLE "HEAR ME GO"  IMPACTS MIXSHOW RADIO ON MARCH 19 + US TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED

Stream/Post: "Hear Me Go"

New York, NY (March 6, 2013) – Award-winning Singapore emcee Kevin Lester, aka ‘The LionCityBoy’ announces the release of his debut EP Everything You Love, You Hate via Vertusent/Sony RED on April 2.  The first single, "Hear Me Go"  impacts mixshow radio on March 19 and is available for download at iTunes  today.

“Hear Me Go” is a song about letting loose, being free and not being concerned about social commentary. With a soul etched to the groove of hip hop and an edge influenced by the raw exposed nerve of punk rock, The LionCityBoy has established himself as a premiere musician in Singapore. Described by Nylon For Guys as “The most public face of Singaporean hip-hop” and by Time Out as “One of Singapore’s most talked-about hip-hop up-and-comers,” the rising international musician has gained rave reviews from critics and fans alike.

Lester explains, “Growing up [in Singapore] has taught me to respect all cultures. We’re such a diverse, multi-cultural city that the closest people around you could be of five different races, each mixed with many other ethnicities. Because we’re a small country, just forty-five kilometers wide, you can’t help becoming immersed and affected by a multitude of different types of languages, food and of course, music. It’s a beautiful experience.”

Last summer Kevin Lester performed a remix of “Give It To Me” alongside Nelly Furtado during the The Spirit Indestructible showcase, and played the US at last year’s A3C Hip Hop Music Festival and CMJ’s Music Marathon. The LionCityBoy returns to North America this month with shows at the 2013 SXSW Festival and Canadian Music Week in support of the release of his debut EP Everything You Love, You Hate.

Kevin Lester Tour Dates
Wed, March 13 - SXSW Meduse Lounge - Austin, TX
Thur, March 14 - SXSW Hangar Lounge - Austin, TX
Wed, March 20 - Canadian Music Week/Global Village Backpackers - Toronto, ON

Keep Up with Kevin Lester

New York, NY (March 12, 2013) – Soul Temple Records has released, as a free download, the track “Enemies All Around Me” featuring William Hart of The Delfonics. This song is fromthe new album Twelve Reasons To Die by Ghostface Killah and composer/producer/multi-instrumentalist Adrian Younge.
Adrian Younge’s full-length collaborative album with William Hart, Adrian Younge Presents The Delfonics was also released today via Wax Poetics Records.  Adrian and his band, Venice Dawn (along with Special Guests) are performing tonight at Le Poisson Rouge in New York City, before embarking for their March 14th performance with Ghostface Killah at SXSW in Austin TX.

But when Starks leaves the family, an epic story unfolds like a vintage horror film with gangster elements. It’s a gritty story of good versus evil that walks the line of the supernatural accented by Ghostface’s grandiose, vivid storytelling.

LOSING PARADISE A Claudja Barry Film "one love, one heart, one destiny" - Bob Marley

LOSING PARADISE

A Claudja Barry Filmone love, one heart, one destiny"

            -Bob Marley
"Losing Paradise" airs February 17th, on the OMNI Channel.   A documentary film directed and produced by the multi-talented singer, stage and screen actress, Claudja Barry.  Ms. Barry, born in Jamaica, moved to Canada when she was seven, but her love and respect for her birth home remained.  Performing around the world, the artist recognized a downgrading of the Jamaican culture by the message being sent from performers of Dancehall music. The genre' came on the scene after the "One Love" reggae music of the legendary Bob Marley.  The language of Dancehall and the attitude of it's performers sends a negative voice to Jamaican youth and to the rest of the world. It's the Jamaica, known for it's weather, laid back culture and upbeat Reggae music, that boosted tourism for many years, but lately has taken a hit.  Many believe Jamaica has become a culture of violence and sending this message through it's music, doesn't help.  "Losing Paradise" takes a look at Dancehall music and the belief that it contributes to the negativity of the culture.  It's time to look back at Jamaica's rich heritage, understand it, celebrate it, sing, dance, and let the rest of the world join in.   It's time for artists to take responsibility.  Ms. Barry steps up with .... "Losing Paradise."

Alicia Keys gave a very soulful touch singing the National Anthem on the most recent Super Bowl sunday 2013. This jazzy version of the anthem brought tons of emotion to everyone in the crowd including the football players honoring her performance.

Following Alicia at half time will be another r&b diva, Beyonce. This should be one spectacular performance.
