Ring in the Holiday Season with a Classic Christmas Lullaby by Songstress Eloise Laws

Eloise Laws’ Christmas Lullaby Single “Sweet Little Jesus Boy” is Available Now on iTunes
(November 29, 2012 - Los Angeles, CA)

Countdown to Christmas with the latest single by world- renowned jazz/R&B vocalist Eloise Laws. Just in time for the Holiday Season, Laws’ “Sweet Little Jesus Boy,” is available for download now on iTunes. The classic Christmas lullaby, written in the style of an African American spiritual by Robert MacGimsey in 1934, was beautifully arranged for Laws’ angelic voice by Kamau Kenyatta.
“The magic of making Christmas music is a tradition in my family,” said Laws, who is the sister to the internationally heralded Laws family of musicians: flutist Hubert, saxophonist Ronnie, and vocalist Debra. “I was inspired to record my favorite Christmas song because I felt it was timely to remind people of the need for hope, courage, and perseverance through life’s struggles, and adversities. This is a song that expresses that message.”
Laws’ exquisite rendition of this classic song is distinctly different from other noted recordings as reflected in the description by A. Scott Galloway, music editor for The Urban Music Scene, “Blessed with an evocative arrangement for piano, hand drums, aching violin and sweet-sweet kalimba, Eloise’s voice drips with soulfully operatic reverence, placing you at the scene of the birth, inviting you to linger long and bask in the wonder.”
The music of the season can transform the bleakest days bright with hope. Ms. Laws’ voice brings to listeners an undeniable sound of peace and love. Director/Actor Bill Duke remarked, “God taught his favorite angel how to sing then named her Eloise Laws.”
Sweet Little Jesus Boy was recorded under SRI International Entertainment in association with Angel Island Records Label. For more about other recordings, visit www.eloiselaws.com and like her on Facebook.

(N-Coded Music; Oct. 26, 2010)

"From my early years of playing keyboards in R&B bands through my years of producing gospel artists, I've always loved the sound & feel of Contemporary Jazz. While contemplating my next musical direction I walked into the studio intending to create therapeutic melodies that would speak to the listener's heart. The result was a pleasant blend of songs that I call Charge It To My Heart. Listen closely because melodies don't lie!"

Sought after producer, keyboardist, engineer, and songwriter Hart Ramsey takes his talents to center stage with the release of his debut album Charge It to My Heart via N-Coded Music. The album is co-produced by bassist Sean Michael Ray (Maxwell, John Waite, Alex Bugnon, Dionne Farris) and features Eric Essix, Phil Davis,Kelley O'Neal, and Rick Watford.

Charge It to My Heart is a Contemporary Jazz offering that blends unconventional harmonies and beautiful melodies making for a memorable musical journey reminiscent of greats such as Kirk Whalum and Jonathan Butler. Hart Ramsey will release "Centerpiece" as the lead single which according to The Urban Music Scene, "features more aggressive and distinct production work" and shows "just how fresh and creative Ramsey is as a musician and producer."
