BEYOND MASK EXPRESSIONS PRESENTS THE ART AND DRAMA THERAPY INSTITUTE’S INSPIRATIONAL CHOIR AND MOROCCAN ENSEMBLE AT THE LINCOLN THEATER THURSDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2012 AT 7:00PM
(Washington, D.C. – October 4, 2012) – Beyond Mask Expressions (BME) will present the 8th annual public concert at the Historic Lincoln Theater on Thursday, October 18, 2012. The concert will feature ADTI’s Inspirational Choir and Moroccan Ensemble. This is a yearly event which has been continually enjoyed by sold out audiences.
This year’s concert will be co-hosted by long time ADTI friend, Captain Fly, a member of the legendary R&B Group, The Intruders, and children’s author and advocate for early intervention for children, Phyllis Cola. Laverdia Roach, Acting Director of the President’s Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities Administration will welcome guests to the concert.
The Art and Drama Therapy Institute is the collaborative vision of Dr. Margaret Dickinson (Dr. Do) and Dr. Sirkku M. Sky Hiltunen (Dr. Sky) and has been heralded by the Washington Post as “a colorful, eclectic place, a magic land of artwork, costumes and musical instruments.”
“I have always believed that when God gave out gifts He did not miss anyone and my grandmother taught me that if you feed your faith, doubt will starve to death,” stated Dr. Do. “There is no doubt in my mind they will grace the Grammy stage in my lifetime.”
The program will include a duet with Brian Slaughter and Yahzareh performing “At Last.” “Marvin Gaye” will be performed by Kevin Christian. The Inspirational Choir and Moroccan Ensemble will also perform songs that have been recorded by Lou Rawls, James Brown, Michael Jackson, Edwin Hawkins, James Cleveland and Chuck Brown among others.
“The annual concerts in the Lincoln Theater, dating back to 2004, are ADTI’s way to give back to the community by providing this free concert, filled with joy, energy and love by the musicians of the Moroccan Ensemble and the singers of ADTI’s Inspirational Choir,” stated Dr. Sky. “Some of the audience members consist of Individuals with Differing Abilities and their concert offers them an opportunity to feel proud of who they are as well as gives them role models among peers who demonstrate that there are no limits for their creativity.”
Tickets to the concert are free and can be picked up at the Lincoln Theatre Box Office, 1215 “U” Street NW, Washington, D.C., 202-328-6000.

Actress Tonya Lee Williams in Anthony Zuiker's Cybergeddon on Yahoo! Screen, September 25 to 27
Tonya Lee Williams with CSI creator and Executive Producer of Cybergeddon Athony Zuiker at the Los Angeles Premiere
Toronto, Ontario (September 26, 2012) – Actress Tonya Lee Williams plays "Donna Berg" on Cybergeddon, a new feature-length project by CSI creator Anthony Zuiker. Cybergeddon is being released on Yahoo! Screen in nine parts – three parts per day for three days – from September 25 to 27, 2012. The online webisodes are expected to be available on 50 million screens in more than 25 countries.
"It's a wonderful experience to work on features made specifically for an online experience. I understand Yahoo! also premiered Tom Hanks' animated series, Electric City," Williams said.
Cybergeddon revolves around a female government agent (Missy Peregrym, Rookie Blues) who, while on the run from the law herself, is pursuing a master hacker (Olivier Martinez) bent on bringing the world to its cyber-knees. Williams plays the Head of the FBI Cyber-Terrorism department, "Donna Berg".
Williams is best known for her work as "Dr. Olivia Winters" on Young and the Restless. In addition to acting in Cybergeddon this summer, she also worked on Lifetime's Imperfect Justice with Rob Lowe and she recently wrapped filming on Empire of Dirt, a feature produced by Jennifer Podemski. "I'm grateful and excited about all these projects. It's been an exceptional year for me as an actress and I'm excited to see what the future holds," said Williams. When Williams is not in front of the screen, she is behind it as the Founder and Executive Director of ReelWorld Film Festival, an initiative based in Canada that she is very proud of. The five day festival showcases world-class cinema – dramas, documentaries, shorts, even music videos. It enters its 13th year in April 2013 and focuses on works that reflect diversity or are by emerging and established artists from Aboriginal, Asian, Black, Latino, Middle Eastern, South Asian and other racially diverse backgrounds. "It's a lot of work, but very rewarding. My festival focuses on showcasing great film and on giving emerging diverse talent access to the mainstream world of the entertainment industry," Williams added. When asked if she would return to Young and the Restless, Williams responded: "Of course. Y&R has always been good to me - I love the character Olivia and still feel there is a lot of life left in her". Tonya Lee Williams as Donna Berg
